CELMAC TOILET SEAT RAISES EASY ACCESS TO A NEW LEVEL
 |
The latest new toilet seat launched by Celmac significantly eases the difficulties faced by less able users by raising the height of the seat. This provides easier access when transferring to and from a wheelchair and reduces the distance the user needs to lower themselves onto the seat. The new Celeste Pro seat also provides the health and hygiene benefits of Celmac’s manufacturing process which impregnates the seat with a special Polygiene material that has strong anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties.

The Celeste Pro raises the seat by 60mm, and when fitted to a suitable pan it can enable the toilet to meet the requirements of Document M with regard to the use of buildings by disabled people. It also incorporates an adjustable safety buffer which prevents lateral movement of the seat thus ensuring maximum safety for the user when transferring to and from a wheelchair. This makes it ideally suited to a wide range of applications including social housing, hospitals, care homes and public buildings.
It is manufactured from a modified thermoset material containing Polygiene. Polygenie’s proven ability to fight bacteria and viruses make it effective in the battle against such pathogens as MRSA, HIV, SARS and E-Coli
At present the seat is supplied in white and one colour - Innas Blue – which was chosen for its ability to be recognised by many people who suffer from visual impairments. Available with or without a matching lid, the seat is supplied with top fixing hinges that enable it to fit a very wide range of existing toilet pans.
“This new seat eliminates some of the traditional problems that wheelchair users have encountered in the past,” comments Product Manager Andy Fawcett who was responsible for the design and development of the Celeste Pro. “Our aim was to respond to market demand and design a practical new product that would make life easier for wheelchair users.” |
